Trout Point Lodge
The Lodge provides unique Nova Scotia vacation experiences, including outdoor adventure, with whale watching, sea kayaking, beaches, historic towns and great golf nearby. Trout Point’s kitchen was the first restaurant in Canada to receive international recognition for its sustainability, with the award of a Three Star rating from the UK-based Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) in 2013 (Michelin equivalent for sustainability). A luxurious breakfast is served from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Lunch options include gourmet picnics and packed lunches, or you can order from their delicious lunch menu. The signature daily-changing gourmet tablet d’hôte dinners are 4 courses but can also provide 3 or 5 courses upon request. They have an excellent wine program and have received Wine Spectator’s Award for Excellence since 2009.
Each stay holds endless possibilities for guided and unguided nature adventures, including kayaking and canoeing, hiking, wilderness safaris, lake and river swimming, star gazing, and mountain biking. Other nearby attractions include Tobeatic Wilderness Preserve, Kejimkujik National Park, Digby Neck for whale watching, Cape Forchu lighthouse in Yarmouth and golf in Pubnico, Clyde River, Clare, Digby Pines and Yarmouth.
The accommodations include eleven suites and one lakeside vacation home, all with ensuite 4-piece baths, extra deep bathtubs, some suites with fireplace, woodstove, balcony or deck. Breakfast is served from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. We also offer culinary and wine appreciation programs.
